After years of service, Margaret finds her niche as a lead volunteer.
Margaret didn’t find CaringBridge in the typical way through using the service. She was looking to volunteer and valued the mission of connecting family and friends. Margaret is motivated by the 'behind the scenes' activities. “There are so many different options and a variety of things to do.” She’s written thank you cards, attended sponsored events and served as a CaringBridge representative.
In her new role as a lead volunteer, Margaret helps to place other volunteers in speaking opportunities around the nation. She works on this project with Ronda Maurer, CaringBridge Volunteer Specialist. “We work so well together, I couldn't ask for a better mentor, peer and friend!”
“CaringBridge appreciates their volunteers and I am part of a valued team. I feel so appreciated and that's another reason I volunteer for CaringBridge.”
Margaret’s advice is to find your passion and volunteer. We work with each person to find the right place and opportunity for everyone. We can match you and your skills with a project you will enjoy and that will help families around the world.
